Nicolette Nevin

 Nicolette Nevin often referred as "Nic" is a nurse practitioner at Chastain Memorial Park Hospital in the medical drama series The Resident. She is definitely one of my favorites in the show. She has sharp instincts whereas she catches symptoms in patients that others might overlook. Nic also advocates for her patients even if it means going against hospital protocols or higher ups. Earlier in season one, one of her frequently cancer patients Lily came into the ER to get an infection treated. Nic then realized something was wrong with Lily because Lily wasn’t improving despite her treatments. Nic noticed that Lily’s symptoms didn’t match her diagnosis and that her condition got worse after receiving chemotherapy from one of the oncologists Dr. Lane Hunter. Nic grew more suspicious when Lily expressed doubts about her treatment and mentioned feeling overly weak. Nic investigated further and started digging into records and talking to patients eventually uncovering Dr. Hunter’s fraudulent actions where she was over treating patients with unnecessary chemotherapy to make money. Lily eventually died and this pushed her to expose Dr. Hunter’s practices. This showed Nic’s determination to protect patients and her willingness to investigate when something didn’t feel right. In the show she often goes above and beyond for patients and that is what I love about her.

Dr. Devon Pravesh

 Dr.Devon Pravesh is one of the main characters in the medical drama series The Resident. He was introduced as an intern under the mentorship of Dr.Conrad Hawkins. It would be frustrating how his character handled certain situations he would come off as stubborn and judgmental. Specifically in Season 3 Episode 3 he disagreed how Conrad went about treating a patient. The patient was a convicted murderer who had someone in hostage. So, after the murderer surgery was successful Conrad withheld morphine from the murderer to get answers out of him. Devon went on to say Conrad tourtured the man and he even asked to be assigned to a new resident regarding Conrad's treatment. Fans even expressed their frustration with him. Dr. Randolph Bell

 Dr. Randolph Bell is the  CEO and  Chief of Surgery of Chastain Park Memorial Hospital in the medical drama series The Resident. In the first season Dr.Bell is a skilled surgeon who developed hand tremors whereas it eventually led to surgical errors. To protect his reputation he manipulates situations and covers up his mistakes, prioritizing his status over patient safety. This makes him seem selfish and more focused on his career. However, as the series goes on Dr.Bell changes a lot. He becomes more focused on both the hospital and the patients. He also becomes more honest and works to regain the trust of those around him. An example of Dr. Bell’s growth is how he handles the fallout from his earlier mistakes. In the first season as I mentioned Dr. Bell covers up his surgical errors caused by his hand tremor.
